Question 1

What exactly does BinBuddy do?

Accepted Answer

We roll your trash and recycling bins from wherever you store them (garage, side yard, backyard) out to the curb before your scheduled pickup — then bring them back in after the truck comes. You never have to touch them.

Question 2

Which bins do you handle?

Accepted Answer

Both your trash bin and your recycling bin are included in every plan. If you have a yard waste or compost bin, just let us know and we can add it for $5/month.

Question 3

How do you know when my trash day is?

Accepted Answer

You tell us when you sign up! We'll confirm your pickup day and make sure we're there before the truck rolls through.

Question 4

What if my trash day falls on a holiday?

Accepted Answer

Louisville Metro typically shifts pickup by one day during major holidays. We track the city's schedule and adjust automatically — no action needed on your end.

Question 5

How much does BinBuddy cost?

Accepted Answer

Plans start at $40/month for once-a-week service or $50/month for twice-a-week — both include 2 bins. Need more bins? Add them for just $5/month each. No setup fees, no hidden charges.

Question 6

When am I charged?

Accepted Answer

You're billed monthly on the date you start service. We'll confirm all billing details when you sign up.

Question 7

Are there any contracts or commitments?

Accepted Answer

Nope. BinBuddy is month-to-month. Cancel anytime with no penalties, no questions asked, and no awkward breakup conversation.

Question 8

Do you offer discounts for neighbors or referrals?

Accepted Answer

We love when neighbors sign up together! Reach out to us directly and we'll work something out.

Question 9

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Just shoot us a text or email and we'll take care of it. No forms, no hold music, no guilt trips. We'll confirm your cancellation and stop service at the end of your billing period.

Question 10

Can I pause service if I go on vacation?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Give us a heads up and we'll pause your service while you're away. We won't charge you for weeks we don't work.

Question 11

What if I move within Louisville?

Accepted Answer

Easy — just let us know your new address and we'll update your route. As long as you're in our service area, you're good to go.

Question 12

What time will you come by?

Accepted Answer

We aim to have your bins out before 6 AM on your pickup day and returned by end of day. We'll work around your neighborhood's specific truck schedule.

Question 13

What if it rains or there's bad weather?

Accepted Answer

Rain, shine, snow, or a Louisville summer heat wave — we show up. Weather doesn't stop us.

Question 14

Do I need to be home?

Accepted Answer

Nope! We work while you sleep, commute, or do literally anything else. If you have a gate or special access instructions, just let us know when you sign up.

Question 15

What if my bin gets missed by the trash truck?

Accepted Answer

That's on the city, not us — but we'll still bring your bin back in. If it keeps happening, we're happy to help you figure out who to contact at Louisville Metro.

Question 16

We currently serve the Highlands, St. Matthews, Middletown, Prospect, Jeffersontown, Shively, Fern Creek, Lyndon, Anchorage, and Buechel. We're expanding fast — check our Service Area page for the latest.

Question 17

You don't serve my neighborhood yet. Can I still sign up?

Accepted Answer
